God, I used to have those. I flipped through a couple out of boredom. I don't think I ever actually consulted them for help at school.

Contrast that with wikipedia....

i can only barely remember how tedious it was to look things up in encyclopedias back in the day before the internets.

im happy to say that i lived in the time where we had to write reports based on information manually looked up in an encyclopedia.

^^^ hha yup... I remember that having the encyclopedia on a "CD-ROM" became the norm my senior year of HS

I was an Encarta on CD-ROM pro. I was always reading shit on that, except without the never ending links like wikipedia.
