i remember loving the cartoon movie as a kid...there was that dude that turned into a fly (no, not jeff goldbloom), and there was something about strange mutated meatballs...but that's all i remember :

^ the fly dude's name was Baxter stockman. He was a black guy in the original comics and designed the mouser robots. also in the real comic series he never turned into a fly.

tmnt and a teacher from 4th grade are probably why turtles are my favorite animals. not to mention all the old turtle shells i found in the woods as a kid.

When I was in 6th grade, I was in the school library (we had a baller library at Dillard Middle, they actually made it a separate building), and I saw that some kid had written:


TEENAG MUNTANT NINGA TURLS on one of the chalkboards, and had drawn a crude (at best) rendition of Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael.



This, I think, was the first time I noticed the stark gap in intellect between people in my classes (the "Academically Gifted" kids) and the common folk.
