7/18/2009 11:35:17 PM
I fell that way about Raleigh, I couldn't wait to get out. Now I would give it all up to go back.
7/18/2009 11:38:09 PM
Raleigh's definitely a more interesting city than Jacksonville. Then again, I've only now been on land as much as I've been out at sea. And a good part of my time on land I'm still on the ship. [Edited on July 18, 2009 at 11:47 PM. Reason : ^^MISS YOU, BRAH]
7/18/2009 11:43:25 PM
i think i'd like charlotte more than raleigh. would rather see nfl than nhl
7/18/2009 11:48:40 PM
^Get thee across the Piedmont, then!
7/18/2009 11:49:28 PM
Ah, Jacksonville. One of my favorite cities to sit in traffic on a bridge.
7/18/2009 11:52:33 PM
One hundred and seventy bridges to choose from! [Edited on July 18, 2009 at 11:54 PM. Reason : Stop by on a trip to Miami. Note: Plan trip to Miami.]
7/18/2009 11:54:16 PM

7/19/2009 12:07:04 AM
So did you get your commission, chembob? What're are you doing now?
7/19/2009 12:10:13 AM
Nah, if you stay in civilization it's like any other city. Where I live now the people are a shitton nicer than anywhere else I've lived, it's fantastic. People actually say hello when you pass them, help each other out when they can, cleanest city I've ever lived in, etc.Go outside city limits and it's pretty much everything I never want to be, aha.
7/19/2009 12:11:42 AM
yeahthose unsophisticated tennessee peasants
7/19/2009 12:13:20 AM

7/19/2009 12:33:32 AM
so far the only thing i miss about NC are the people that i left behind. besides that, fuck the economy and government of the state.
7/19/2009 12:36:45 AM
so tuff
7/19/2009 12:37:00 AM
The thing I miss about Raleigh is the culture. Raleigh has has identity; food, nightlife, good people. Where I live now, its just so black and white; no culture no identity nothing that sets it apart. Its trashy, I couldn't see raising a family here unless I had a good deal money or ties to the old money here. Its like being trapped in a Bruce Springsteen song.
7/19/2009 12:54:12 AM
^ Raleigh has culture like bacteria has culture
7/19/2009 12:55:13 AM
^^ good god. i mean, i miss raleigh sometimes, but i don't pretend for a moment it ever had culture or identity. where the fuck did you move to? wasilla?
7/19/2009 1:10:08 AM
Guess its just me but I enjoyed my time there. The campus area is something to be desired but the city itself has a lot to offer. I grew up outside of D.C. and Raleigh has all the amenities that Metro D.C. has but the pace of life is much nicer.
7/19/2009 1:12:09 AM
I really miss Raleigh. NCSU is the best evar. North Carolina is the shit. you have the mtns, the beach, and big cities like Charlotte.can't wait to get back.
7/19/2009 1:12:45 AM
only thing i hate is i wish there was a road that went directly from charlotte to raleigh
7/19/2009 1:13:48 AM
What about missing Miss North Carolina?Just a thought.
7/19/2009 1:14:09 AM

1. I really miss Baba Ghannouj in Cary2. If I'm not mistaken, Capital Grille is a chain. And Yes, D.C. Metro has much more diverse dining. My parents are in the business up there. I really wish I could get Dim Sum here. But I think Raleigh is on the up and up when it comes to dining. There are also some really good spots. 3 + 4. It its apples to oranges but if you at like this. Raleigh has a really nice mall, its no Tysons but its pretty damn good. You could be stuck where I am and have basically the shittiest mall to ever grace the planet. You got good supermarkets, shops that are close by. There are plenty of trails, parks, etc and man I could be at the coast in 2.5 hrs.

I miss the warm weather, the beaches, and the green surroundings. I don't miss the people always breaking into my car and stealing my bikes.
7/19/2009 1:49:50 AM
I miss NC but i'm not far away and Charleston is pretty kick ass too.
7/19/2009 2:42:17 AM
I miss the people, thats it, the rest can either be found elsewhere, or is boring as shit
7/19/2009 2:52:37 AM
Yeah I miss it too. Never saw that one coming
