7/27/2009 5:37:24 PM
^^why? he paid his debt to society. Jesus fuck, he'd have been better off assaulting humans.Note: i am in no way condoning what he did. it was terriblenote 2: it's sad i have to include the first fucking note, you lunatics.[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 5:40 PM. Reason : .]
7/27/2009 5:39:52 PM
^^yeah... If he were guaranteed to fail even harder after returning to the game.... that'd be worth it.[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 5:42 PM. Reason : ]
7/27/2009 5:40:27 PM
i love dogs as much as the next guy, but this motherfucker is so sick on the field and he should never be allowed to do anything else (like baseball) or do anything to get back in jail. we do not deserve it, whatsoever.PS Go Falcons
7/27/2009 5:42:27 PM
i hope he gets a teamand then his very first game i hope a linebacker with a fondness for dogs snaps his fibula
7/27/2009 5:42:37 PM
i'm sorry black people. u guys got OJ acquitted. BUT u cant win em' all.
7/27/2009 5:43:38 PM

I thought he was completely done...guess that was just jail time. What does he have left?
7/27/2009 5:49:10 PM
Peter you just don't like him anymore because he's not gonna play for the falcons
7/27/2009 6:14:41 PM
The Constitution guarantees you the right to play in the NFL!ps: I heard some people in Connecticut (like 19 people) got arrested as part of a canary fighting ringI shit you not]

7/27/2009 6:23:57 PM
There are lots of companies out there where if you got locked up 2 years for a felony, they wouldn't even consider re-hiring you.Lucky for Vick, the NFL is not one of those companies.
7/27/2009 6:25:34 PM
^^ people, in general, think with their puny hearts and emotions too....which is something that should be something independent of the lawin this case, "he's paid his debt to society" mean that he has served the punishment decided for him by the laws of the country in which he lives. having endured that punishment, as the laws say, he does not deserve any further punishment for the crime that he has committed.*as I learned before, I have to say that I don't condone what Vick did. and because people on TWW are fucking morons, I'll probably have to keep saying it.[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 6:28 PM. I think that if you quote the entire sentence that I typed instead of reading only what you want to read, you'll answer your own question...]
7/27/2009 6:29:19 PM
I don't think he's a very good QB, average maybe, but he shouldn't have to do anything else. He's a free man, let him live and make his money.
7/27/2009 6:31:52 PM
Nobody is preventing him from living and making moneyBut playing in the NFL isn't a right, its a privilegeAnd he's getting re-instated in Week 6]
7/27/2009 6:32:31 PM
7/27/2009 6:41:13 PM
^^exactlyit's not my decisionit's not the law's decisionit's not your decisionit's the decision of NFL owners if they want to let him play in their leagueit's the decision of team owners whether or not if they'll allow the team to pick him upand it's my opinion that the NFL is there to recruit talent to make them money. Vick has proven himself on the field, and I think that he will be back.^ haha, my views concerning discriminating against people because of history in terms of employment, housing, etc...varies, and probably wouldn't be popular here on TWW. I'm not going to name any names, but over the course of my fantastic TWW tenure, I've found that many people are very much flawed in their sociological beliefs and reasons for punishment. I will say that I don't really believe in using punishment as revenge. But...it's a can of worms I'm not even going to open....I do agree with what you just posted there for the most part though]
7/27/2009 6:42:16 PM
i know this is [old], but i still LOL when i think about all them black folks showing up in protest of accusations against him saying the law was just hating on a black man and he was clearly innocentthen he pleaded guilty and al sharpton went {fuck...}

to answer your question, I think the paying sponsors get something out of the advertisement too. To me, that's a pretty big dollar sign to throw away on the fundamental reason of "I know he's served his time. I know he's apologized....but I just don't believe him and/or I hate him"
7/27/2009 6:51:43 PM
My main issue with the whole thing was that he made millions from his contract and endorsements but that wasn't enough.
7/27/2009 6:54:27 PM
Kobe was found not guilty but he didn't get all his sponsorships back that he had before. Vick was found guilty. For right or for wrong, public image and perception tend to steer whether or not some companies or brands want to be associated with someone who was convicted of a felony, and especially any type of company that caters to pet-owners. I can see some people or companies paying him to kind of make fun of himself and then try and give a good message to the community, but I think the Nikes and Gatorades aren't going to come anywhere near him.
7/27/2009 6:55:43 PM
how do you mean acraw?I don't know...I'm merely guessing....but I don't think that he engaged in dog fighting to make money. It was a sport for him, just as it has been a sport for centuries.
7/27/2009 6:56:12 PM
7/27/2009 7:00:06 PM
I'm guessing EMCE is cool with dogfighting, regardless of what he says.
7/27/2009 7:00:58 PM
_______ has been going on for centuries.I've heard this line of argument before for just about everything. And I'm sorry, just doesn't hold much weight.
7/27/2009 7:03:44 PM
I don't agree with that argument but I also don't think Vick was dogfighting primarily for the money which is what I think EMCE's point was
7/27/2009 7:05:27 PM
^^you're clearly missing the point.[Edited on July 27, 2009 at 7:05 PM. Reason : .]
7/27/2009 7:05:31 PM
that's fine. I'm not saying that he should be allowed to do it, because it's been going on for centuries.I'm just saying, I'm willing to bet that he engaged in dog fighting as sport instead of as a way to supplement his income.
