yeah, but since it totally destroyed the world record, people think she is a he.....they did some testing way back when, but the result havent come in...I would think all you would have to to is examine the pubic area and you would probably be able to tell. Maybe it is much harder than anticipated.

It is not just external gender they check in such cases, but genetic gender as well.

Aside from XX and XY, there are other combinations as well.

Oh, and they also check for internal reproductive organs as well.
