the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies were based QUITE loosely around Ed Gein.

any review or relatively educated write up about them will tell you that.

I mean, have you seen the movies? The only similarity is the posthumous skin-grafting.

everything else is pretty much made the fuck up--the family, the chainsaw bit, the meathooks, etc.

I know that this is going to sound very strange, but I am really into serial killers and torturers and other such evilness. It's amazing just what people are capable of doing to one another.

Theresa Knorr is an interesting murderer, but she's not considered a serial killer. She simply tortured and murdered two of her children.

Gertrude Baniszewski is also an interesting killer, but she's yet another torture murderer.

I'm not sure who my favorite American Serial Killer is, but I do know that my favorite British serial killer is Dennis Nilsen. I read Killing for Company.
