I remember evil villains using nano-tech in Saturday morning cartoons, why did they have to come off all superior like the average person would have never heard of it? And nano-tech isn't that big of a word.

^I agree with the main campus thing too. The court of the carolinas & outdoor classroom there, the bell tower, the brickyard, the free expression tunnels, those are places to me that strike me as iconic NC State. I think the free expression tunnel could fit very well into a theme of fostering ideas.

They seem to use the same actor for all their ads. Here is a Red Means Go ad. I wasn't to keen on the idea of saying if a genius runs into a speed bump, guess what, they get up and leave. An ad saying we encourage genius to find ways over & around speed bumps would have been better imo.

The old red means go higher learning = H I R E learning with the same actor struck me as saying "come to NCSU, we're like a 2 year vocational school, in 4 short years!"

Nothing against the actor though, but the scripts they are writing just don't seem to work for him.

I don't have a problem with the commercials -- they're simple and streamlined, in my view.

What I have a problem with is the question, "Why the fuck do we have to advertise? What is this, UNC Pembroke?" I was unaware that we were having difficulty attracting competent students. Shit, thousands of Indians (dotnotfeather) and Chinamen fly across a goddamn ocean to get here.
