i'm partial to natuzzi for leather sofas and chairs. we have two sets in our home. it is what i'd call the mid to lower-upper end of furniture. good leather and solid, all wood construction. for decent mid-grade, you could check out bassett. fairly reasonable prices for good quality. broyhill makes some pretty good furniture too. ones that are "ok" or "tolerable" imo: hooker, ashley, vaughn bassettfor more mid to lower-upper end, thomasville and lexington are fineif you've got bank to spend, go with henredonregardless, go to a "real" furniture store, not some big national chain with shitty particle board crap and i think you'll be pleased. the chains will show you "pretty" room set ups but a lot of the time the quality of the furniture is pathetic. at smaller stores you can often get some substantial discounts if you pay cash rather than setting up a credit account. you can get decent furniture for the same $ as the big chain crap. they are also usually willing to work with you on special ordering (more selection than some of the chain joints have) and can help on shipping/delivery. <--- worked at a nice furniture store for 3 yrs in school so i'm snobby like that.depending on where you are living, check out highpoint or go to hickory. the furniture market in hickory is outstanding. when we need furniture, that is where i buy it (even tho i live out of state).
