Still, there's no reason to go crazy at the linesman. If you want to say a little something or complain to the chair, fine, but screaming at someone who you know won't change the call for thirty seconds is pointless.

From what I understand, the chair umpire called her over and asked what Serena said.

I do find the theory that she did it on purpose to avoid losing the match on a break point to a retired mother to be an interesting one, but I'm not sure there's any merit to it.

It wasn't a great call, but it's also nowhere near the four fucking horrendous calls against Serena in '04 against Capriati.
