My beloved TV is a 32 inch Sony from a simpler time, when pants had stirrups and Mustangs had 4 cylinders.A few days ago while watching TV, the screen mysteriously went black! I have been able to turn the TV on once or twice since then, but most of the time the standby light just flashes. There's a TV repair shop nearby but I'm pretty sure it's just a front for a cocaine smuggling operation. Also the darn thing is so heavy I don't feel like getting it to the car, only to find that the repair shop only sells the finest roses from Columbia. What should I do TWW???

TV repair shop... wtf, how would that stay in businesshow do you service an LCD?[Edited on September 21, 2009 at 8:34 PM. Reason : I too have an antiquated television set that was considered large in its time]

smack it on the side a couple times. if that doesn't work, list it on the craigslist for free section, claiming its good for parts.

Call the repair shop or buy a new TV, that's your choice. Bets are there was too much dust and something went conductive, or the fuse blew, or God only knows what happened. I'm certain it's one of the three.

if Nerdchick misses one episode of project runway, there will be hell to pay...HELL I TELL YA!!!i'm in favor of smacking it a few times, if not just to get some anger out on it.
