My undergrad degree is political science, but I have a minor in journalism too. I was a newspaper writer for a while before I went back to grad school, and now I work for a PR firm in Washington.

All my classes on state and local government came in pretty handy when I was covering state and local governments as one of my regular beats at the newspaper.
