we both went to cary! but he graduated two years before me

random story i think of when i think of seabrook

in highschool a teammate of mine from the softball team lived three houses down from greenwood circle. which you know is not far from the school, but she would go all the way over near briarcliff elementary to pick me up, i later found out she was a lesbian

hahha she came to pick you up every morning even though she lived a mile from school? that sounds like what i did my junior/senior years of HS. but i only did it cuz she was my best friend. neither of us were lesbian. we are both now married. to men.

Lots of cops pulling speeders this week on Seabrook.

Watch for the tan Tahoe at the end of the line of soccer mom vans... He's undercover.

Hey thumper, I lived on Bay Drive (off Greenwood Circle) for three years. How close are you to that location?

Also, Cary sucks. I think you have to have grown up there to appreciate it. I'm told it used to have woods. It was probably cool then.

Omg, I know Bashford. My parents had their first house there WAAAAY back in the day. LOL.

Also, why do people hate Cary so much? I grew up there and yes, it did used to have lots of woods. But my dad also went to Cary High and he remembers the actual Kildaire farm! haha. Cary is a nice suburban town. I love it!

their regulations are often ridiculous, and the cops suck since they rarely have too serious shit to deal with

I came to Cary to finish high school in 2001. Before that, I had been living with my mom on welfare and working to put myself through a private school. I found myself in culture shock as my new contemporaries seemed to be overentitled brats who didn't have to work for anything, but instead simply smoked pot, traded overused and inane TV catch phrases, and had sex with one another. I was suddenly dropped into a real-life version of "Dawson's Creek" (or any other interchangeable teen drama).

Making friends was ridiculously hard and I never really assimilated into what seemed to be a county-wide clique of materialism and snobbery.

Please explain why you think this. Personally, I've seen CPD in many different situations and have found them more than sufficient. Just because there is not a whole lot of violent crime doesn't mean the police sit there with their thumbs up their butts.

I heard from a Cary cop that there is as much crime in Cary as anywhere else (these things operate on a bell curve). The big difference is that Cary categorizes their crimes differently, so it only appears safer.

I wasn't implying that they were insufficient, they just pay attention to smaller, minor annoyances (for example, pulling a friend for going 5 over the speed limit, no other reason)

as for regulations, just as a quick example, the Red Roof Inn can't have a red roof!
