ST 311 was pretty bad but the worst, absolute worst, are those bullshit 100 level PS courses. The only one that wasn't a complete waste of time was the data analysis course but even then it was a stretch.

I had an asian dude that taught my Calculus class freshman year. He barely spoke English, and no one in the class could understand him at all. Everyone that failed the class (of which i was not one) petitioned to NCSU to have the grade dropped from their record because the dude was such a horrible teacher. It worked.

^^Holy shit were we in the same calc class? I somehow managed a B+, but it suffices to say that I still had a shitty grasp of calculus, which did not bode well for the next two calculus classes.

The only example I can remember was him describing second order derivatives and concavity using the term "berry smooos." We finally deciphered 35 minutes later that he was trying to say that the curve was "very smooth." The dude did not speak English on even a first grade level.

I went from a Chinese guy with no grasp on English, to a Ukranian who mumbled barely above a whisper, to a Norwegian that spoke English well. Apparently, there are no American math teachers at NC State.
