Nah, I do application and system development for a small public safety company in Raleigh. I help analyze our users’ software needs and meet with Development to discuss the overall design vision of the software. The programmers construct the design and they send it back to me after QA has passed it. Then I test the overall design, benchmark the software on our robust Virtual Machine systems, and then try to break it in any way that I can (find bugs, exploits, flukes, and try to fix them on the fly, so we can deliver them to customers without having to go through QA again). I also write code in Visual Foxpro, which has been cool. I'm hoping they don't make me code full-time later on, because I'd rather be an implementer so I can kick it with the firefighters.
