I am in the process of getting one of our pens/barns set up for some pigs. Just curious if anyone on here has any family/friends that are pig farmers and might sell me 3-4 relatively cheap.

Or better yet, GIVE them to me?

Or they kill you.

Pigs are supposed to be as intelligent as dogs. It shouldn't be too hard to make them docile, if you treat them right.

Unless you're planning to eat them. Supposedly the meat tastes better if you keep them in a calm relaxed environment, but it probably doesn't matter how nice you are to them otherwise.

well the neighbors who share a fence with us have chickens, goats, sheep, a mini horse, and a mini donkey. i figure it would round out the farm if we get pigs, and as a trade-off my GF gets to get a cow.

you wanting pet pigs (guinea) or food pigs? If food there is a slaughter house in Siler City you can get them for cheap, particularly if you're wanting to raise them from a young state.
