That sucks

I know a lot of companies are "consolidating" offices/plants. Boo to that.

Yea sucks we gave them damn near a quarter billion dollar in tax breaks for creating 1500 jobs for the next 20 years, and instead they had 905 people losing their jobs within 4 years. FTMFL!

As long as there is a dell kiosk in a mall in NC, the sales tax will be there.

I don't think they got the full 250 million, but seeing the word "unclear" makes me think that Dell made off like bandits in the deal.

^^Some of it was payroll tax deductions that would be on an annual basis for 20 years. So I'm not mad about that. But they got a lot of grants from the Golden Leaf Foundation and other groups to get this thing off the ground. These grants and agreements were made with a set timeframe and job number. Since neither were met, then these deals should be repaid, or at least to a percentage of jobs and years that weren't fulfilled.
