One day I will have an exercise room like this. No way I could ever get fat watching a game on that while on the treadmill.

Also, as we approach winter, its important to maintain your figure

Lots of girls have the "I don't have to wear a bikini for 8 months, fuck it" attitude when it comes to putting on pounds during the cold months

Not a good habit to get into, and we notice

when some people see a fat person jogging they laugh

i like to think "good for you"

and yeah, they're probably not technically jogging, but thats easier to say than "kinda walking fast, trying to jog, but being too fat"

^^ Yeah they're much cooler slouched out on the couch with cheesesteak

You're allowed a one dress size buffer in the winter

If you're a summer 2, you can be a winter 4...summer 4, winter 6...etc

anything more than that and its a concern

Some are, some aren't. For the most part, they have more confidence in themselves and have tons more energy, which is awesome.

"Athletic girls are annoying."

Recently went on a date with a girl and we got a really late start to the date because of her. Which in turn made us have dinner late, get home late, go to bed late, and caused us both little sleep and have a rough day at work.

Reason she was late?? When I called to ask her what time I should stop by, she goes, "well I think I'm gonna go for a run." So she went on a 5-mile run and we didn't leave to go out until about 8pm. She apologized for holding us up. To which I replied, "NEVER apologize for being late because you decided to exercise. That is just ridiculous." Complete opposite of last girl I was seeing who would say, "well I was going to go to the gym, but decided to go to happy hour instead."

Athletics girls are the opposite of annoying. Athletic girls FTW!

they don't have to be overly athletic. i'm not asking for a marathon runner or anything (even though i wouldn't mind it) but i think its good for a girl to get out there and run/lift/cross train a few times a week. i'm not even suggesting doing it until the point where you become super skinny.

i want a partner in life. someone who can keep up. going hiking only to wait for someone to catch their breath 7 or 8 times isn't fun. someone telling you they rather sit and watch jon and kate + 8 rather than go on a short 10 mile bike ride isn't really fulfilling for me either.

agreed, but there is a line. There are those people (not just girls) who wear the fact that they are athletic on their sleeves, and these people get annoying. I'm specifically referring to marathoners. They can't go 5 minutes without somehow bringing up that they are either training for a marathon or just ran one.

"Oh, I don't know if I can go or not. I have to do a 7 miler today. I'm training for a marathon"
"Wow, i'm really tired. I'm training for a marathon, and it's really wearing me out."
"I think that training for a marathon has made me a better person."
"In training for my marathon, I run 10 miles a day Monday through Friday, and then do 20 miles on Saturday. I'm really thinking about running on Sundays too."
"Running just makes me feel so free. I wish I didn't have to work, so I could run more. I'm training for a marathon, you know."
"Dude, I just ran my first marathon this weekend. MAN WHAT A RUSH!!!"

Shut the fuck up already.

^Yeah..."marathoners" would be extreme. I wouldn't mind a girl who's training for a marathon just to do one...but being a consistent marathon runner would be ridiculous.

That being said, I've known a couple girls who could go out and get shit-faced and still run an 18-miler the next day. Now those are pretty impressive.

^^That's my old college roommate's boxer. Forgot I still had that picture in my gallery. This is my boxer:

I'm on the same page as Bobby.

Also,

Generally people who exercise regularly have A) nothing productive they WANT to do, or HAVE to do that requires exertion, and B) brag about it. Braggarts are fucking annoying.

If you don't believe me on B), then consult your precious Time to Get In Shape thread. And check all the damned FB statuses whenever somebody does something exercise-relevant (especially women on there). Nobody gives a fuck. You're supposed to be doing this stuff for yourself, not to impress others...

I disagree. A lot of people share fitness advice/training advice via the Time To Get In Shape thread and facebook. It's nice to know what other people are doing and what's giving them results.

What do you mean by productive?

I think most people my age who exercise regularly do it because we are at the age where metabolism will slow down, are more sedentary than anytime in our lives (first office jobs) but still go out and drink alcohol plenty.

It's a really easy time in a person's life to put on a lot of weight and just generally get themselves in a bad position in which it's difficult to recover from. Both male and female.

Quote :

That's pretty idealistic, but not reality. Yes, exercise makes YOU feel better but there is no doubt that I (and anyone else) exercise to continue to make yourself more appealing to your S.O. (if you have one) or to anyone else you may meet...

Productivity can best be defined as doing something to improve your chances of getting money or getting pussy

Which is why most people refer to work and exercise as being productive

Fuck Bitches, Get Money is more than just a Big Tymers theme song

Those CAN be related. You might want to be healthy, be able to run distances in certain times, lift certain weights, but you might also want others to notice that you are getting in shape and looking good. So impressing others is also doing something for yourself. I can guarantee you that almost everyone who is striving for an athletic goal, is very aware of how they look to other people and that they affects them in a positive way.
