I vaguely remember the book from childhood, but with no promise of explosions or ninjas... it's not that I think the movie will be bad, I just don't see how I can make time to watch it.

So far I've asked like 3 people (In real life) if this movie is based on a book that was out when I was a child (These people were all my age, so I actually said "when we were children").

Nobody ever has responded to me though son and I don't care enough to actually look it up.
