I never thought it was really a big deal...working on your birthday was just another day. Do you think that's kind of Jehova's Witness of me?

Do you ever blow off work because it's your birthday? With the emergence of facebook, it may be less big of a deal because birthdays are making a serious come-back.

If my birthday is on Monday, I will probably not go to work.
If my birthday is on Tuesday-Thursday, I will probably go to work.
If my birthday is on Friday, I will probably go to work and then get blitzed soon after.

You're wasting a day off unless you're going somewhere. The day to take off is the day after, to recover.

I don't get vacation days or sick days, so I work every day I can get out of bed. Including holidays.

Yeah I always go to work on my birthday. I then have a party with my family at some point. Now I'll probably do two parties. One with family, one with friends. Friends party will consist of food, drinking, and general merriment. Family party will have the merriment, food, and presents (with maybe a small amount of drinking).

Usually not. It's usually a day that I take off just to do some ME things

but this year, I have too much shit to do... too many deadlines to meet by October 22^nd
so that means that the 21^st will be a work day this year. Oh bother...

I'm usually on vacation for my birthday because it tends to fall on the Memorial Day holiday, thus I get a longer vacation.

It was San Diego this year. Next year will probably be Cancun or Cozumel.
