Without getting into the exact details, I have to take a bogus class to earn 3 hours. Any class goes. I'm debating between 3 p.e.'s or a GPA booster. So.

What is the easiest class at NCSU to help boost your GPA?

Class#/Instructor

P.S. I already took SSC 185

Philosophy of Science is basically a free grade. Forgot the number.

I visited the class 3 or 4 times, ignored most of the extra credit assignments, and half-assed all the online tests, and still made a C in it. You never even have to attend, and the professor says as much on the first day.

STS 322 online
Open book tests, open book assignments, about 20-30 minutes of work a week. Hard to get lower then a 95. Check out the grade distribution.

If I remember correctly all of the work required for the semester was

3 posts a week on the class message board
a 250-500 word essay on various "catastrophes" each week.
open book midterm and final with questions straight from the book
and finally....30 page power point due end of semester.

arc140, you have to try some but the amount of study involved is pretty low, you just have to be good at describing a process of how you evolved something from point A to point B, and by something I mean an idea

(intro to architecture)

One of the lower level econ classes. I took Econ 101 or 102 or something back when I was a sophomore and it was by far the easiest class I took my entire time at State (outside of a few PEs). The professor (LA Craig) would give some extra credit and I ended up with over a 100 average.

I took Philosophy of Science too, but hated that class mainly due to the professor. He was some dofus looking dude that was extremely boring and he made us write essays as part of our tests. Can't remember what I got in that class, but it was definitely not as easy as the econ class.

^^^^I took it fall of last year, and I seem to remember him mentioning that he'd gotten rid of required essays because students hated them, or something like that. Might have been because he didn't like having to grade essays either. Though he may have left an essay-test sort of thing purely as extra credit, but I didn't do the extra credit stuff.

Actually some of the worst grades I got in college were from supposed "easiest classes" suggested by friends/TWW. I'd always end up really bored of the material and not put in any effort. It's much better to find a low level class that is really interesting, some 200 level soc classes worked for me.

The TED intro class. I forget what it's called now, they've changed it since i was a student. Instructor doesn't matter. It's going to be a grad student anyhow.

But, all the work is done in class. So there's no fear of the "well it's so easy, i'll put off studying" factor. You just have to go to class and you'll pass.

Also, search for "easy class." There are about 100 of these threads. Mostly in Study Hall.

MY run conditioning was not an easy A, thats for sure. Fist of all you have to show up. Plus you have to run... fast. I think you have to run 13 indoor laps in 13 minutes, or something crazy like that. Sure it sounds easy at first, but just wait.

Plus theres the 10k race at the end.
