so i go to my local barbershop, for my $20 haircut. since i biked there, im sweaty and ask the gal to give me a shampoo.

i figure the whole shampoo thing is gonna take about 2 minutes, no big deal, right?

it turns into this 10 minute sensual head massage, that was totally unexpected. massaging the temples, top of the head, points around the ears, around the neck... whole thing was very relaxing, started feeling aroused after it had carried on for a while.

is this normal thing when getting a shampoo at a barbershop now?

i'm afraid this chick has ruined me for barbershop shampoos. Am I going to judge all future shampoos against this new "Gold Standard" of shampoos?

lots of chicks work in barbershops here. they cut hair. the shop i go to, it seems to be a prerequisite that all the barbers have an excess of tattoos and/or facial piercings. they have guy barbers too. just probably 2/3 of them are gals.

I'm just use to the very old school barbershop I've always went to back home. Only open in the mornings with a bunch of old dudes chatting it up. I've had the same barber my whole life.....I've had haircuts at other places...always begrudgingly, and I don't look forward to the day he retires.

yeah, this is common at sportclips.

They're ok at cutting your hair if you just get it cropped pretty short, but i go there for the scalp massage, etc. There's always coupons that make it $14 for the whole shabang.

and you can watch sportscenter the whole time.

Look don't get upset because you're wife works there. No offense intended, but you're only as good as your weakest link, and it boils down to poor management for hiring the unqualified broad that butchered my do....so essentially they are one in the same....hence the mention of the specific location.

I miss my old barber shop in Greensboro (Gene's, down Spring Garden near UNCG). The same 3 older guys for 15+ years, plus several "regulars" that would just randomly hang out there. And a vintage glass-bottle coke machine. Though my particular barber is semi-retired these days anyway.
