okay so i have a connector flight out of a small airport in KY that says it will arrive in nashville at 2pm, which I have a flight at 2:50pm back to rduthink that leaves me enough time? assuming no delays

If it's in the same terminal that should be plenty of time.

small airport?you shouldn't have a problem. it's not like you have to go through security checkpoints again.
10/20/2009 9:09:48 PM
no no I'm going from small airline(kentucky skies) to nashville(getting on southwest)so i dont go through security again?
10/20/2009 9:13:05 PM
nah, you won't have to go through security again unless you go outside
10/20/2009 9:13:40 PM
wait you sure about that?[Edited on October 20, 2009 at 9:18 PM. Reason : why would i not have to go through security again?]

There are some airports where if you have to change terminals to catch another flight, you'd have to. Like RDU, if you transfer from an American flight to a JetBlue, you get to jump from 2 to 1, having to go through security again. Not sure about Nashville, should be a quick check for how their airport and gates are laid out.

ok then, I guess it just depends on the airportbut I have never had to go through security twice if I didn't actually leave the terminal

in the US, generally, the only time you will have to go through security is when having a connecting flight after traveling internationallythat or flying through kansaslarger airlines that partner with smaller airlines are always accessible without reclearing security

I really thought the OP was asking if he had time to jerk it in the bathroom.

The Nashville airport is the size of a Chinese penis. You won't have a problem with time.

fuck it...I just found used a combination that gives me a 1.5 hr gap betweenproblem solved
10/20/2009 9:59:36 PM
I take it you don't fly often
10/20/2009 10:00:42 PM
every month or 2but i've never done the whole switching planes thing

the only time you have to worry about connection times is if you're connecting in a busy airport or rough weather. as long as you don't have to change terminals, you're fine. most airports treat regional carriers the same as their parent airlines, so i doubt you'd change terminals. i'd be willing to bet kentucky skies plane looks a lot like a southwest plane. also, your connecting flight knows you are on the way, and there's likely more people on the first flight connecting with you on the same flight, so as long as they can make the destination on time, they'll likely wait for you. i was confused the first time i saw multiple airlines on my itinerary too, but really, its no big deal.

an hour and a half? there was no need to change it. you'll have time to checkout opryland now!

50 minutes? Are you serious? I've had 30 minute turnarounds in Philly, Atlanta and LAX and have never had a problem. And Philly was so fucked up with construction that I had to actually go out and back through security.. and still made it easy.
10/20/2009 11:29:55 PM
yea, 50 min would be plenty of time, you are gona be bored out of your mind for any longer unless you have a book or laptop
