The high school i went to told us to apply to like 7 schools, but i only applied to like 4 and 2 of those were just because i felt like i was applying to enough places since everybody else was idk. Its weird most people i've been talking to recently only applied to like 1 or 2 schools.

i did early admissions to NCSU, submitted the application like 3 weeks into my senior year of HS. i was accepted within a week and since it's really the only place i wanted to go, i didn't bother applying anywhere else.

i debated a long time with applying to UNC, i love chapel hill but there was no engineering program and my parents live like 10 minutes away and work even closer, so that was a no no .

oh i forgot to say, Case Western was the only other school i actually wanted to go to but ohio sucks ass.

i think by doing early admission i got my reply really quickly. i mailed my application on a monday and got my acceptance package the following thursday.

i honestly did early admission to NCSU because it was the only place i wanted to go. i thought the sooner i get in my application, the sooner i'll get accepted (or rejected). if rejected, i wanted to be rejected early enough so i could still apply to other schools

but let's face it. 22nd in my class of over 300, a 4.2 GPA and Spanish Honor Society member?? pssh, NCSU would be stupid to pass me up

it was the most stressful time of my life, I wasn't going to go any where else besides state (stupid i know) so it was either state or joining the military

some schools (for instance, duke) when i was applying had special rules regarding early admin and being binding

iirc, if you got accept in early admittance, then you were "bound to accept" and go there

where as state and unc's were not binding, but just quicker.

I applied to NCSU and Appalachian, but I forgot to send my SAT scores to Appalachian By the time they contacted me and asked me to send them, I already knew I was accepted to NCSU.

hahahaha this reminds me of when i was in high school my gpa was like a 3.5ish and my class rank was like 50 out of 200. after i took the SAT (I did well)I had one interviewer (it wasnt for a college and I can't remember what for though, maybe scholarship-i have no clue) say point blank "You REALLY just didn't care to even try in school did you?"

Got in to ECU, VT, LaSalle,and Villanova (only because of legacy)

Denied from Columbia, Penn, UVA, NYU, Princeton, Georgetown, and George Washington

St. Joe's was the wildcard...I got in and was seriously considering going there, but got in a big argument with dean on my second interview, and was summarily denied

i skipped so many days my senior year they threatened to fail me. i once sweet talked my way from a D+ to a B-.



what saved me what my SAT score. which (as i said) was exceptionally high.

ie-i was a smart kid but i didnt give a shit.
