why would someone speeding up that you are trying to pass annoy you? Wouldn't you be trying to pass them because they aren't going fast enough? In which case them speeding up should accomplish the same thing.

I guess if you are stuck behind someone else in another lane it might be annoying...but otherwise who cares if you are able to reach your target speed?
