It's hanging on by a corner but it will clearly fall off tonight.

I'm going barefoot for Halloween next Saturday (fred flintstone) so I'm thinking about taking it off now, saving it, then taping/gluing it back on Saturday night so it doesn't look retarded.

you can get a fake nail and glue on



it will probably hurt less if you at least get some clear polish (they make a kind with nutrients in it that is good) and paint over it with several coats

What kind of glue/tape/whatever do I need for this?

I imagine nail glue is for gluing fake nails onto real nails, and would be painful when used to put a real nail on the nail bed.
