I have to be at work in 2 hours. I have tried a few things...food, water, dr. pepper, ibuprofen before bed and again today. I can't smoke before work because my boss freaks me the fuck out. I am trying to suck it up but i really don't feel well.

Is adderall a good idea or a bad idea? I have a prescription and take it a few times a week but i have never taken it while hungover...

Acetaminophen is the active ingredient within Tylenol that is dangerous to consume with Alcohol. However, any medication that you take with alcohol has the potential of magnifying the medication's effects.

and is a blood thinner
and excreted by your kidneys


just because it is not as bad as tylenol does not mean that it is just fine
it is safest to avoid most otc pain relieving medications with alcohol whether your preference is acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin

You shouldn't take Tylenol or anything with acetaminophen with alcohol because it can cause severe liver damage or failure.

You shouldn't take Ibu Profin with alcohol because together they can cause stomach bleeding. If you do take it, at least make sure you eat and drink (not alcohol) with it.

It's much, much easier to inadvertently damage one's liver with tylenol than ibuprofen, alcohol or not.

Either way, the "official" FDA recommendation (aha...for what it's worth) is to avoid OTC analgesics when drinking.

There's nothing wrong with combining OTC painkillers and alcohol.

It's a lifetime of heavyish drinking and heavy reliance on OTC painkillers that presents a problem.

Like, if you drink 5+ drinks a day and that's just what you do, you should take Tylenol very sparingly.

You just gotta manage your risk.
