i messed with the same fixture on my next door neighbor's place (it's vacant right now) and it seems kinda like the metal frame isn't really attached and can move a little. mine doesn't move around like that. but i still couldn't seem to open it up.
10/31/2009 4:29:17 PM
you need a hammer
10/31/2009 4:30:13 PM
just yank on it
10/31/2009 4:33:32 PM
yeah, tried that too.it's an OLD house. so there are some things that just don't make sense about it. and maybe some repairman at some point attached it back improperly. i don't know. the light was out when i moved in a few weeks ago. maybe they rental people couldn't figure it out either.[Edited on October 31, 2009 at 4:35 PM. i guess, if you can do it without damaging anything
10/31/2009 4:36:49 PM
the plastic panels may come out. you could also get something else to light up your porch... like decorations.
10/31/2009 4:43:58 PM
that panels are all one piece from what i can tell.and it may be too late to get decorations. my neighborhood is about to be on lockdown for halloween celebrations.
