By and large life is as easy or as hard as you make. That isn't to say that there aren't legitimate barriers to overcome if you are a minority or a woman pursuing certain things (or in some instances even if you are a straight white guy). Yeah, we probably do have it a little easier, but the difference isn't as huge as some of the more militant feminists would have us believe.

It's a man's world, so yes. However, women in this country forget just how good they have it compared to other countries in the world. Women can wield their sexuality in this country like a form of power, and it is very effective. They can also use their minds to chase a dream. My mom for example is a scholar, a mathematician, a full professor, a department head, a wonderful cook, a mother of three successful children, and a true renaissance woman who came from a poor working class background and reached for the stars. Women have it much easier than men, IMO. Especially if you're young and at least semi-attractive. You have the option to work or marry a rich dude and choose not to work.

Also, I hate to say it, but being an attractive female can help you get your foot in the door at a company. While it's not legal to do this, I had a boss who only wanted to hire attractive, young females due to our interaction with customers. I've also had 3 job offers following interviews in which the hiring manager blatantly flirted with me. (By blatant, I mean saying, "God, you're really pretty" or asking me if I was married.)

Obviously, this only gets you so far. But being a young, somewhat attractive female can really help you get your foot in the door. The key is to make sure that you can back up your looks with brains. Looks will only take you so far.

as much as i hate to say it Fermat had a lot of TRUTH in his last post. he was being inflammatory in his point intentionally, but they remain valid.



Women in some ways view being a man as simple and assume this is derived from a developed system of stratification when that is not the case. I'll agree men's lives are simpler than women, but this comes as a result of how we operate and choose to carry out our lives. women, have the same choice they can make, but choose not to do so.

Men tend to live their lives freely, without worry or discontent, but should something for which they have distaste or curiosity arise men, by large, attempt to work this out for themselves. That is why if a man has a problem they will tend to solve it and if a woman has an issue she chooses to comfort herself by expressing how it makes her feel rather than taking control of the situation. I'm sure every guy has been there when their girlfriend has spoken about some sort of issue and then they offered a solution only to have their girlfriend get mad at them for it. I'm sure the majority of women on this site and at large have been guilty of this on multiple occasions.

This mentality plays out across all arenas and the end result is women see situations working out for men and choose to believe this outcome is based on the fact the advantage is tilted towards men rather than choosing to acknowledge that what they see is the result of how men choose to behave. they make the choice to ignore this because acknowledging it would force women to admit their situation is in part brought upon by themselves.

-rape and generally being more vulnerable, have to take extra precautions and potentially deal with some much more horrible stuff than a dude

- inferior physically

- sex/relationship stuff being twice as complicated, if you refuse to have sex you're repressed/prudish and if you have too much sex you're going to be taken advantage of where as a guy just fucks for a good time
