So I have a free ticket to this concert in NYC. Its VIP backstage access, meet and greet with the band, free food and drinks, ect. The catch I just got the ticket and am looking at what it will cost me. I am looking at about $250 for a plane ticket plus another 100-300 for hostel/hotel depending on where I stay. i am not tight on money but I am not made of it either. Would you go?

Decide if its worth dropping a grand to go to this show

Don't factor in the fact that the ticket was free in your decision

Band is OAR, which is my favorite band still touring, for thoes that think it matters, go ahead and flame or whatever. I really want to go but at the same time its a lot of money. There were only about 300 tickets total for this concert so it will be very small and I feel would be an awesome expirence. Its at the Hard Rock Times Square.

concert is on monday, which if I goto that one there is one in Monmouth NJ on sunday as well, I would be going to with a couple people from the bands message board, but I have never met any of them so I can't be all like let me crash on your couch yo. And driving is out of the question, espicially since I would only be there for two nights

I talked a little more in depth with my boss because I wanted to make sure that they needed me or not. After a brief discuss I decided that they really did need my help so I am not going. Probably will be kicking my self in the ass for this but I have a job, and he is the reason I have one so I am just thankful for that.

maybe i'm just trolling, but i can't believe there's any band on the planet that i would drive that far to see...i drove to jaxx in virginia, once, but that was for my brother's birthday and it was as close as the band got (and they didn't play but a few times in the states)

even then i had to debate whether it was worth it
