they didn't test me because they said all they could do either way was give me tamiflu and tell me to self-isolate.

i felt like my head was in a pressure cooker.

ok good same thing is happening to me

and that is what they said - just gave me the codiene cough syrup and said take tylenol for the fever (which is 102.5 ON tylenol)

everytime i cough my head feels like it is exploding so then i don't and just drown on mucus

that's exactly how my head felt when i coughed. it got to the point that i would put my arms around my head tornado drill style whenever i coughed. i didn't have a runny nose, but i coughed up thick, yellow shit by the gallon.

they wouldn't give me tamiflu

but i'm going to the "real" doctor tomorrow and hopefully they will give me some pain medicine at least!

the only reason they gave me tamiflu is cause i have asthma and i'm high risk or some shit

i started feeling bad on thurs evening, felt like death fri morning and went to student health, started taking tamiflu about noon on friday, was feverless on saturday morning, and i was at about 80% on sunday night. took me like 1.5 weeks to finally completely stop coughing.

If you can't get any prometh-codine at least get some guaif-codeine. None of that other OTC alcohol/dxm/apap shit works anyway.

i have both now that i went to the doctor

i was scared initially cause i thought the guiaf kind would interact with my medicine but the pharmacist said no and then the doctor prescribed the codiene cough syrup stuff

i don't know if this is bad or good for me cause i sure do feel like i am popping a lot of pills but he said on the 12s and 6s take tylenol and on the 3s and 9s take ibuprofen (like 6am 12pm 12am 6am etc). kinda freaky cause that is medicine like every 3 hours but it has really helped get my fever down to around 100. just a few degrees has made a huge difference in how i feel.

so if anyone feels bad and doesn't care about stomach and liver damage JK! kinda. but before i wanted to seriously chop my own head off. now i just kind of want to die. hopefully tomorrow i won't have a fever. NRR you are my inspiration

I will never again take Tylenol unless it's absolutely necessary. I have a $1200 ER bill after I miscalculated my APAP intake and thought I had unintentionally overdosed.

500mg/15mL is still a lot imo. I did the calculations with 500mg/4mL for some reason, but I was in a weird and sickly drugged up state.
