because of the fear?
11/11/2009 4:28:33 PM
The fear of what?
11/11/2009 4:30:07 PM
I have to because both my grandparents and my 8 year old brother are friends.
11/11/2009 4:30:49 PM
the fear of a 20 post long political rant?<----- this girl
11/11/2009 4:30:54 PM
uhhh, i have like 30 relatives on there so instead of saying..... "fucking bored at work" i will say "working hard"sooooooo....... Me
11/11/2009 4:31:07 PM
of the "are you alright?""is everything ok?"
11/11/2009 4:31:20 PM
<----except I wouldn't say fear, I'd say annoyance
11/11/2009 4:31:42 PM
Oh okIn that case, no. None of my family even knows what Facebook is. And if they do, fuck it, I just live.
11/11/2009 4:32:18 PM
this sounds like a cry for help
11/11/2009 4:32:19 PM
Block them.
11/11/2009 4:32:35 PM
this is why i'm not friends with anyone like my parents or relatives
11/11/2009 4:32:44 PM
^^^see what I mean...I WILL FUCKING STAB YOU
11/11/2009 4:33:24 PM
how do you tone down "ran out of prozac today"?
11/11/2009 4:34:33 PM
i really don't have to tone it down. sure i stopped dropping F bombs when my 13 year old cousins joined, but topicality has remained the same for the most part.
11/11/2009 4:35:00 PM
haha, the episode of Its always sunny when they give frank an intervention just came to mind. and it is hilarious
11/11/2009 4:35:33 PM
i like to make sure mine are ok for everyone. like mine friday night "out plowin" my friends know what im really doing, but my grandparents think im just tending to the farm
11/11/2009 4:40:43 PM
you mean like "I'm out, catching those crabs."
11/11/2009 4:41:33 PM
what kind of idiots are friends with their family members on Facebook? That's just dumb.
11/11/2009 4:42:28 PM
lots of usdickwhat you going to donot friend your Dad? I'm not catching that kind of shit.facebook throws a pretty wide net...true i could, and will eventually, put some real filtering on it[Edited on November 11, 2009 at 4:51 PM. Reason : ,]
11/11/2009 4:43:12 PM
of course I tone mine down. Several reasons.1. I'm friends with a bunch of family2. I'm friends with my pastors3. I'm friends with my campers4. I respect the fact that people on facebook aren't as open minded about language as they are on tww.
11/11/2009 4:45:09 PM
yeahI'm still too weird for that shit though.I'm not being clever there (fuck you i'm awesome), just fucking strange.
11/11/2009 4:46:40 PM
i agree with the [what am i gonna do? turn my dad down as a friend] statement. for me it is grandparents, young cousins, parents. all who would be like wth (what the heck (swidt?)) if i didnt friend them
11/11/2009 4:49:09 PM
yeah, of course
11/11/2009 4:49:48 PM
Your parents should be cool enough to give you personal space. You shouldn't need to rely on the internet to SOCIAL NETWORK with your family. If you guys can't keep in touch b/c you're family you've got some serious problems.
11/11/2009 4:50:28 PM
facebook is something different nowyou know that
11/11/2009 4:51:27 PM
What if you talk to them all the time anyway and just don't care if they see what's on your Facebook?Dick.
11/11/2009 4:51:35 PM
I don't think so. Like I have cousins that live in different states that I don't really talk to much, and since facebook came up and they joined it's been nice being able to interact with them more now.
11/11/2009 4:51:42 PM
i try to keep the F bombs to a minimum, other than that i'll let it all hang out
11/11/2009 4:52:38 PM
^^cousins /= parents truth be told, just filter them if you feel like you have to "tone down" your statuses.[Edited on November 11, 2009 at 4:53 PM. Reason : ^]
11/11/2009 4:52:50 PM
so what you are saying TKE-Teg is that everyone you are friends with on facebook are people that you cant keep in touch with otherwise???
11/11/2009 4:53:14 PM
i like these discussionsbecause it just forces me to remember to reign it in more and more on that fucking site
11/11/2009 4:53:27 PM
Well if my parents are on facebook and I'm on facebook why not be friends with them? Also, me being friends with my parents on facebook is not why I tone things down. Everything I say on facebook is something I would say to my parents.
11/11/2009 4:54:16 PM
^^^I dunno, do you make plans to hang out and go drinking with your parents Or are your parents long lost high school buddies you forgot about. My mom's been on Facebook for 2 years or so and hasn't asked to be my "friend". I think that's pretty cool that she realizes she's my mother and not my "friend".[Edited on November 11, 2009 at 4:55 PM. Reason : ^ I = slow poster apparently]
11/11/2009 4:54:59 PM
and what if she didwould you tell her no?
11/11/2009 4:56:05 PM
i think it is unfortunate that your mom is ashamed of you
11/11/2009 4:56:10 PM
our parents love us
11/11/2009 4:56:52 PM
^^^probably. I will admit that I am friends with my Dad on FB. But that happened b/c after a trip we took somewhere it was the easiest way for him to see all the photos I took of the weekend.(and his status is restricted as hell)My mom uses FB to stay in touch with her friends. Weird I know.[Edited on November 11, 2009 at 4:58 PM. Reason : if you need a FB request from your mom to know you're loved you have problems, lol.]
11/11/2009 4:57:41 PM
your extrapolations are awesomethey're like the thoughts of a retarded kindergartener
11/11/2009 4:59:58 PM
haha.(continue trolling) What a fucking sell out. all this shit coming out of your face and now you admit to being friends with your dad??? fuck you man, you are an idiot
11/11/2009 5:00:02 PM
