I gotta work night shift tomorrow night so since I had to stay up late tonight anyway I went to a local bar (place was basically deserted since it's a Thursday night and I live in the middle of nowhere). So I stand around drinking for a while watching some other guys shoot pool and shooting the shit with the bartender (woman in her early 30's, fairly hot too). I get to the point where I've had enough to drink and I ask for a glass of water and my check. The bar tender hands me my water and credit card, but no check.

I look at her quizzically for a second and she says "don't worry about it." I don't say anything for a moment, still not sure what to say. "I got it" she says as she takes some cash from her pocket and puts it in the register. At that point I'm completely at a loss. I thanked her for the drinks and made my way out.

Now that I've made it home I realize I probably should have asked for her number...
