see this is why I had, "Don't worry, I'll find it..." engraved on my husband's band
11/16/2009 10:21:45 AM
Well... I had set it on the counter. I washed the dogs. I did some other stuff. I come back to get it, and it's not on the counter anymore... I could have fallen in the trash can, but I already went through it (wasn't much in there anyways). Oh well. Looks like I'll have to find another wife ring...I do miss having it though. what if your wife picked up it and is waiting to see how long it takes you to admit it's gone?

I bet the wifey has it too.

my ring has gotten really loose lately (due to weightloss i guess) so i find myself taking it off at home more and more. yesterday i got out of bed and went to the grocery store and got halfway out of the neighborhood before i realized it wasn't on my finger i actually turned around and went back to the house to get it i feel so....naked....without it.]

i've lost about 40 lbs and i have the one handed "take the ring off in the pocket" technique perfected when i come across an attractive lady at a bar or whatnot.
11/16/2009 10:46:48 AM
I have a married buddy who makes and elaborate show of sliding his ring off at the bar before he starts hitting on girlsKinda overkill imo; just don't wear it at all if you're going to flirt with randos
11/16/2009 10:48:35 AM
actually the ring is sometimes useful... it helps a lot of girls let their guard down, at which point it is all over for them.
11/16/2009 10:50:24 AM
haha, definitely feel you there. I've lost my wedding band once so far (in a year and a half, someone found it at work and I tracked it down) and probably every other ring my gf/now wife had bought for me. Though, in my defense, she lost one of them. So yeah... me and rings.... aren't exactly attached at the hip. I have insurance on it, haha.

Guess you'll have to find someone else to play "play that funky music (white boy)" and "shout"

I lost my wedding band on my first day back to work after the honeymoon. The next month was not the best.

I lost mine a ways back while I was changing the oil in my wife's car. Set it on the bumper of my car, and didn't think to get it when my wife took my car to go to the store. Realized it was gone a few hours later.Set some quarters on the bumper, had my wife re-drive her route. The quarters slid off on a corner and landed not five feet away from my ring in the road.

hhaha niceI know a guy who lost his ring THE VERY NEXT DAY on an atv trip (very muddy) His wife was super chill and knew he would lose it but she made him get at least something for the remainder of their out of country honeymoon. Was pretty bad ass.

FOUND IT!Behind a drawer. I don't know how the hell it got behind there, as it's my wife's drawer and I never put anything on it, unless I did so as I walked by when I was putting the wet towels from after washing the dogs away... >_>Oh well. I can proceed with the "laying" now that I'm "married" to this woman again. or is it lying? Hm.[Edited on November 16, 2009 at 8:19 PM. Reason : orly?]
