k, complete menus, please, people

I gotta figure out what to take to my mother-in-laws, and the only thing I can come up with is deviled eggs...I made this thread for ideas because I'm too lazy and distractable to go to allrecipes just to browse.

Lotta people this year, so we're doing 2 turkeys, one in the oven the traditional way, one smoked over 6-8 hours that morning. Psyched for that.

Appetizer plate of deviled eggs, crabcakes, various olives and pickles

Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes/ Gravy, Collards, Seven Layer Salad, Yams, Broccoli Casserole, Homestyle Macaroni and Cheese, Yeast Rolls, Cranberry Sauce

Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Chocolate Pie, and a Cherry Crumbcake.

I can't wait.

I'm thinking I need to make some real biscuits, because I hate that canned shit.

I think I basically need to bring everything but the turkey and ham

Fuck the fact that if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.

what I just committed to
Broccoli, my favorite way (which is with some diced red bell pepper and pine nuts, tossed in EVOO with some garlic and salt, and roasted ~ 350 for ten minutes)
carrots, somehow
apple rosemary jelly
some kind of bread item
pumpkin pie
and maybe one other kind of pie

stuffing, if she says she plans to bake hers in the turkey.

Both of my families are huge, and everyone brings at least one thing.

I have no idea what the menu will be for either family gathering, but I'm sure they will both be delicious and awesome.

I can't wait.

Making a turducken is so much work...maybe we will try to make one for Christmas...or just order one off the internets.

We decided to skip the turkey this year since its only 3 adults and I fucked up the turkey fryer this summer, so I don't want to buy a new one for Thanksgiving just yet.
