I wonder if mine does. Seems Facebook renders them useless.

somebody in my HS class made a group on facebook to discuss organizing a reunion

facebook made it very easy to invite everybody.. but it was only a 5 year reunion, and only like 20 people showed up, and it was pretty much all the people that i'm still friends with.. so it was kinda pointless.

My 10 year was last fall. Unfortunately I could not attend. It was especially unfortunate as I saw the photos afterwards and I've held up a lot better than 90% of the people who attended. No guarantee I'll be able to pull that off at the 20th.

Who has to plan it?The class president?

People from my high school organized a big reunion for classes ranging from '98 to '05. We had it at the Busy Bee last Friday. Lots of people showed up, and it was actually really fun.

Both my 10th (last year) and my girlfriend's 10th (last Saturday) were planned on facebook, but there was still a decent turnout. Just because you've seen someone's status updates doesn't replace actually seeing and talking to them.

My class had one last year.

I'm only 3 years removed from high school, but I really dont have much of a desire to go to my reunion, at least if we had a 5th year, maybe even 10 yr. I had friends outside of high school, and I wasn't really close to any of my classmates then. Those who I were decent friends with I keep in touch with now...

my high school isn't old enough for reunions(I wasn't aware there were 5 year reunions. What's the point?)[Edited on December 2, 2009 at 1:10 AM. Reason : 3rd graduating class what what]

5 year reunions? Guess I missed mine, lol. That's basically a pathetic excuse to get together and drink now that you're all legal.

I also agree that there is little to no point for a 5 year reunion. Most folks would be just out of college, or just finishing up. After 10 years people start to have their life established, and it's much more interesting to find out the various paths folks have taken.

Seeing as my high school is the same as DJE's & Noen's, yes.

I wouldn't call it pathetic by any means. My graduating class had an informal reunion last year around this time, and it was nice to catch up with old friends. Sure, I've kept up with the people I was closest to, but my graduating class had 500 people in it, so there were lots of people I was cool with back then that I've lost touch with.
