omg my computer is playing radio through its speakers no matter if its muted or what. its driving me crazy and i can't make it stop. the show sounds like some tv show from the 50s with looney toons music. its BLASTING and perfectly clear.

i read an article about a woman whose fill-in picked up and played radio everynight and she coulndt sleep and they thought she was crazy.

lamps and other times have been known to participate in this crazy phenomenon.

hahaha,it's probably not the speaker itself but the connecting wires. Coiled wires are basically FM receivers with the right amount of power flowing through them. Try taking a zip tie and cinching the coil so it's elongated instead of round. Or uncoil it. If it's internal to the speaker try turning it on it's side 90 degrees.

If it's in your laptop than that's just comical However a ton of laptops have hardware gain on speakers - which should clear it up.

Ironically we've had this problem before in church with el-cheapo XLR cabling (it was a backup cable in our defense.) Picked up a local country station

Shitty shielding inside of the speakers could do it. Wrap them in aluminum foil and send us a picture of this fix.

An amp and cabling setup provides a nice detector circuit for any RF interference in the tuned band.

Move your Nextel or Boost mobile phone away from the offending electronic.
