Hello TDub

My small business is up for an online grant. We do solar, efficiency, HERs, and consulting.

Please take a moment and vote for Sapona Green Building Center by following the link below. You'll need to make an account, but it's quick and they don't spam you.

Thanks!
Robbie

can do. And if you vote and move close to Wilmington, I'll give you a free energy audit...home or apartment.

I would, but I don't want to make an account. Too lazy.

rssutto2 do you use thermal imaging to find where drafts are coming in and stuff like that?

i'm painting and putting up new blinds and TRYING to weatherproof my windows. and lately i'm noticing that i've got some real pain in the ass drafts. also having a really hard time getting the air temperature the same up and downstairs.

i need professional help, how much does a consult cost?

Yeah, we use an infrared camera to check for leaks, thermal spotting, etc. Windows, doors, and wall seams are generally the culprits for large leaks. I'm going to Burlington in 2 wkds, I could stop by and do a consult on the way if you'd like.

As far as air temp - could be one of a few things. Poor circulation generally takes the cake for uneven heating/cooling within a home. Make sure you haven't closed a return line and that your filter is clean.

Also, not all thermostats are created equal. The newer thermostats actually have a error feature built in that will adjust the temp to match. Do you have programmable thermostats?
