i find it interesting that england originated the colonies here, yet there is hardly a person who claims english descent and plenty who claim heritage from an island the size of deleware.

I don't see what's wrong about being proud of your heritage no matter how little the percentage may be. I'm proud to have Irish, English, and Cherokee heritage

Just about every white person in America thinks they are of Irish descent. Some of us had to be from England folks.

I know on my dad's side, it is all scots-irish. on my mom's side, it is Italian, and I think there was maybe some german or pollock in there- not to sure, because whatever it is, it is very little, and we just usually say Italian

in that case i think all black people should start referring to themselves as irish since the majority of blacks have at least 5 - 10% admixture, which likely includes some irish.
