Bonobos is a dub band from Osaka, Japan. They formed in August of 2001. Their current lineup includes; Chunho Sai (guitar, vocals), Yasuyuki Sasaki (guitar), Natsuko Morimoto (bass), Bondo Tsuji (drums) and Izumi Matsui (percussions). They released their first full-length album, entitled Hover Hover in 2004, followed by two more follow ups in 2005 and 2006, titled Electlyric and a, un respectively. An EP, Golden Days, was also released in 2005. Their latest effort is a greatest hits compilation record called Pastrama - The Best of Bonobos -, which was released on January 30, 2008.

They aren't Gorillas. Also, if they get toys such as rubber balls and stuff at the zoo (or wherever they're kept), they'll use them for pleasure and as sex toys.

When I was in high school we talked about how it's mainly a female-dominated group and something like whenever the females need to exert their power they shut out the males and have huge orgies.

There was also a study done comparing bonobos to chimps. The researchers gave a male in each group two pieces of sugar cane. The male chimp ate whatever he could then gave the female they introduced whatever was left over. The bonobos had sex then the male gave the female one of the sugar cane pieces and split it evenly.
