I'd like to learn how to restore cars. I have a strong desire to buy a really old pick-up truck and restore it to working condition.

Yes, restoring cars is an absolute yes.

I'd like to learn more about sound engineering and mixing. I'm pretty much just a live musician, I need to know more about pro-tools, recording, etc.

And Chinese... for business purposes.

The thing that comes to mind at the moment is photography. I've played around with it here and there, but never really taken the time to properly learn about ISO settings and all that good stuff.

That's probably good, I'm sure Asian girls are put off by nerds who want to fulfill their hentai fantasies and watch DBZ 24/7.

If an Asian girl grew up in America you could probably talk to her about whatever you'd talk to any other girl about.

Construction, on the nerdier level--not the "I shingle for some guy in the summer", more like "I have a plot of land in Vermont that I built a compound on and have all sorts of cool stuff".

Cooking.

It's not that I haven't learned anything about it, but I would like to learn some more specialty stuff in the realm of cooking

I can do all the standard stuff (more so than most of the other guys I know), but I would like to be able to impress some people with some shit-

and in this, I would include wine and beer knowledge, again stuff I know a decent amount, but I would like to know alot more (especially about pairings and stuff)

Carson needs to get on this... I feel like everyone should know how to do this, and it baffles me how many people don't know how

what if you are in a life and death situation, and the only way to get somewhere is in a manual... I know it sounds extreme, but that would be a crappy place to be.

I wish I still had my little car, cause I have a whole gaggle of people I want to teach how to drive a manual

I've been shown a few times before, but no one ever explained WHY I was doing what I was suppose to be doing, so it never really stuck.

A less extreme version of this happened once, involving my DD getting completely shitfaced drunk/stoned... long story short I tried to drive home and ended up rolling backwards down a hill at a stoplight, I was so pissed/freaked out that I walked home and left his drunk ass in the passenger seat in the middle of the road.
