in a tough economy you will see more intelligent people working in what would usually be a job for the unskilled and uneducated. That employee turnover doesn't exist. People will work where they have to to survive, even if it's below their skill level. Not as true for Chickfila because they always seem to hire people with a head on their shoulders. But once things turn around you'll see the disposable unmotivated uneducated employee greeting you at every drive through in town.

I also see a good mix, and I had a mix of friends who worked their in high school.

Jeepin4x4, Chick-fil-A has much lower employee turn-over than other fast food chains even in good economic times (60 percent vs. 107 percent for the industry). But nice job on making a fairly obvious point about the effect of a bad economy on a person's willingness to take a lower-paying job. It was a pretty kick-ass point because you got to act like an uppity know-it-all and describe people as "disposable." Good stuff.

I suggest you check out the Chic-Fil-A at N. Harrison Ave in Cary.
Balta (latino) is my homeboy. He has been there since at least 2000. There used to be another latino dude named Jamie there, but he has been gone for a while.
There is also this indian guy that has been there since the same time period.
Dorothy is my homegirl too, but she is white.

i love the chick-fil-a in my hood. everytime i'm babysitting i take the kids there for lunch and they bring the food right out to us and they're very helpful about getting refills or whatever we need. plus they always have a hostess playing with the kids and giving out balloons/stickers/whatever.
