12/18/2009 1:32:10 PM
whatever. you guys are clearly the best led zeppelin fans on these forums as evidenced by your criticism of me not wanting to sit through communication breakdown 3 times on the bbc sessions
12/18/2009 1:43:33 PM
i am on III right now. this has been a swell afternoon so far.
12/18/2009 4:25:37 PM
try digging up "Led Zeppelin: The Lost Mixes, Vol. 1-4"after a while you'll go blind trying to make it through the 32 minute version of "Friends"
12/18/2009 5:16:36 PM
Zeppelin was awesome until about age 15, not so much since. I mean, still good and all, but I cant listen to too much stuff about dragons and faeries. Still like some of their more bluesy stuff though
12/18/2009 5:19:26 PM
pictures or this isn't happening
12/18/2009 5:20:05 PM
Jaybee was 15 in 1981, so bear that in mind

12/18/2009 9:29:30 PM
^Unfortunately, I don't think that there is really any room for reasonable doubt.
12/18/2009 9:31:54 PM

12/18/2009 9:32:21 PM
I'm going to listen to the Spin Doctor's entire catalog. Be back in 15 minutes.
12/18/2009 9:32:41 PM
12/18/2009 9:35:17 PM
One of my BFFs, her first time having sex the guy insisted on playing Stairway to Heaven on repeat the entire time
12/18/2009 9:55:48 PM
If they heard it more than once it wasn't his first time...
12/18/2009 10:11:38 PM
why do you phrase it "i will even listen to in through the out door?" that album had some good tracks on it son. i love fool in the rain son.
12/18/2009 10:26:28 PM
fool in the rain is terrible
12/18/2009 10:30:51 PM
^^ some good tracks, but i don't really care for "fool in the rain" and "carouselambra." and it's not like the remaining 5 songs are particularly stellar, although i love "southbound suarez" and "i'm gonna crawl." pretty sure jimmy page had some serious heroin problems when they recorded this album, and he and bonham didn't really contribute much to my knowledge. it's zep's weakest offering by far. i kind of wonder what would've became of them even if bonham hadn't died.
12/18/2009 10:55:45 PM
^^vonjordan and i are gonna come after you son.^I figure that they would have had another good album or two and then have some break up like all the great bands end up doing.
12/18/2009 11:17:36 PM
i dunno if they could've even squeezed out one good album let alone two
12/18/2009 11:40:12 PM
sounds like a shitty night
12/18/2009 11:42:40 PM
actually it was pretty fuckin good, so you can shut your mouth
12/18/2009 11:45:03 PM
I think they could have made another good album or two, it just probably would have been pretty damn far from zeppelin I
12/19/2009 2:06:50 AM
Live albums released after a band's demise shouldn't count as part of their catalog. They exist, and they might be good, but they're not something that the band, as a unit, worked on and approved as a piece that helps express their creative entity. As for growing out of Zeppelin, I think the catalog is varied enough to appeal to everyone at some point in their musical development. I don't have much cause to listen to II these days, but I greatly enjoy Houses of the Holy, a record I didn't care for when I was younger.
12/19/2009 6:31:54 AM
^ yeah that was kind of my feeling regarding how the west was won considering it came out like 23 years after the band broke up. and houses of the holy would be flawless in my opinion if it wasn't for "the crunge." that song is absolutely terrible.
