My wife and I found a smaller black (lab mix) where Pineview, Lake Dam and Avent Ferry meet. She seems to be older (a little white under her chin) and weighs about 50 lbs. She is very well behaved, friendly, but a little shy. She listens to commands very well.

Please help me find her owner!

I will post a picture in a few minutes.

When I worked at a vet clinic any time someone found a lost dog we encouraged them to come by with the pet so we could scan for a microchip. You may want to take her by a local vet or shelter to check for a chip, and see if they have any lost & found records.

I plan to, but my guess was that nothing would be open until tomorrow. We filled out the Found Dog stuff for the SPCA, Wake County Animal Shelter and posted a Craigslist ad.

You should have taken that chip out, put it in a really vicious dog, and dropped that dog off at the vet's office. Can you imagine the hilarity when the owners came to pick it up? That's some candid camera stuff right there.
