New season starts tomorrow. I haven't cleaned the puck marks off in two years or so. However, I seem to remember being disappointed that I had cleaned it after I got done the last time.

They're close to Irbe dirty now...they haven't turned gray because they're leather on the face and not nylon, but they're absolutely covered in marks.

^ Roller hockey is for fruitbooters.

I actually have no problem with roller aside from the lack of offsides.

My cousin and his kids play roller, so I always throw that one at them when they mention heading out to Dreamsports.

I don't clean mine.

But I need new gloves, though.

I haven't washed any of it since I had a skin infection in 2005 and didn't want it reoccuring. This is just puck marks.

don't do it!

it's like a badge of honor that shows all the pucks that couldn't get by you.

I understand the idea of that, but the four championship shirts and three goalie-of-the-year awards are probably better badges than anonymous puck marks.

There are three specific marks that will always stay because I know exactly where they came from, but even one of those is on my skate.

I air it out every night, so it doesn't smell too bad.

Here's a current pic:

my friend who played hockey would air his out and it still smelled like some crazy-ass overwhelming funk. Hockey players are hawt but in their gear they smell like no thanks.
