Who is doing it this year (challenger or normal runner)? Just watching? Donating?

I'm pretty stoked about it

I felt better after eating all the donuts, personally... For some reason it made the running easier

Actually eating them was hell though - but I'm going to do it again this year, for the chil'ren

When ESPN did a segment on this I think they said the combination of endorphins from running and the sugar rush from the doughnuts makes you feel really good.

If I can drop a little weight beforehand, maybe quit puffing on the cancer sticks, maybe I should do this.

I got two dozen glazed last week to take to my high school best friend who was in town from New Jersey. Ate four of them in under 5 minutes easily. I could blow that part out of the water. The running part...well, I dunno about that.

maybe I could run as a panda since I got the stuff to do it

^ you say that now... but I think you would slow down about half way through. Wasn't as easy as it sounds

You ain't never seen this brotha eat.

I'd bet anybody here I could eat a dozen hot in under 10 minutes. Hell, I'd go for under 5 minutes. And bet a sizable amount of money.

Challenger again. Couldn't do it last year because I had an interview the same day of the race so I'm coming hungry this year.

This is the only time of the year I eat doughnuts - because after the race I never want to look at a doughnut again.

A Challenger is just aiming to eat all dozen and finish in under an hour. The finish times are listed by category. T-shirts are the same (the ones that come with the fee), but you can purchase different t-shirts post-race, etc.

Yeah, I don't think that's possible. You must have been in shock/delusional.

^ I was neither. Trust me, I know what being delusional feels like because I get the feeling when my blood sugar gets drastically low.

You might find this hard to believe, but everybody else's body doesn't necessarily react to something the same way yours would. I have a very strong stomach, and yes, I felt better running the 2 miles back than running the 2 there.

it definitely wasn't DEADLY cold last year. It wasn't really cold at all. Mild, but runners definitely warmed up quickly.

Please, do us all a favor and keep your alias troll ass at home for this race

at some point your body doesn't even bother digesting, right? it just makes you poop out pure doughnut? or makes you vomit, instead?

^ Right before the last race there was an article where a nutrionist was interviewed -- she said the thing that makes you throw up is the amount of fat in the donut so the only people who were really safe were the ones with little to no gag reflex..

saw 3 people puke on the return trip last year...saw a few splatters along the way too, I felt fine, til that night...

you'll absorb 95% of the foods we eat, regardless of amount consumed, we're quite efficient at the whole digestion/absorption process, there really isn't a "ceiling" that you'll hit and just poop out whole foods from thereafter
