Anybody remember the myth of the two-hour rule w/ regards to late buses?Something along the lines of:If the bus is two hours late, it counts as an excused absence and students can go home without any penalty towards their attendance record.Apparently (as informed by my niece) the kids still tell this story at the bus stop. (Bus was an hour late, still not here, and she got a ride with the wife.) On one of the coldest mornings of the year... It's good to know that in Wake County, some things don't change.

I thought it was if the teacher was more than 10 minutes late for class

We totally put the 10 minute rule in effect in my earth science class at UNCGWe wrote everybody's name on the chalkboard that was there that day and then bounced.

I thought this was about running the train on a bitch, I was disappointed

lol I remember that. I think it was either my 7th or 8th grade school bus driver that was a bitch. She'd always drive right by the bus stop even if I was standing right there. And that was when she was on time... she was at least 30 mins late every day, making me late for class. One time I was out there until like 9:30 waiting and when I think my dad finally took me to school, everyone else that rode the bus was waiting in the front office because apparently the bus just didn't come that day.[Edited on January 5, 2010 at 9:59 AM. Reason : Sousapickle might remember, he rode the bus with me for like 8 yrs.]
