this reminds me of something my little brother said when he was younger. I was working at the YMCA day camp and he was there (i think he was about 9).
Apparently he was playing outside and one of the black boys he was playing with said that he was really hot. My brother said responded, i know why your hot, its because your black!



that morning my mom had made him change shirts because he had put on a black one and she said it would make him hot

i LOL'ed for hours.....until i had to explain what happened to the black boys mom

I've said tons of racist stuff.

I think we've gone a little too far in the PC game. People have racist outlooks, they see things through those racist outlooks, they come to certain conclusions, develop certain ideas...but they don't feel like they're allowed to say them out loud. So instead, they end up bottling up all these observations without getting any feedback and feeling like they're super oppressed and shit...

My first day of middle school, I got pushed a couple times in the halls by a black girl. I came home and announced over dinner, "The black girls at school push me in the halls all the time!" After some questioning, my mother explained that one girl did not constitute an entire group of girls, and that one day of observation and only two instances of pushing didn't exactly equal "all the time." Problem solved. But had I not said anything, I might have gone on believing that black girls were pushing me all over the place and getting away with it and it's not fair and reverse racism and I'm so oppressed and I want my America back!
