I haven't had this happen yetbut I'm not seeing any clear rules on uploading copyrighted materialI understand if I upload the newest rock/pop song, it's gonna be erased with the quickness but I'm looking to upload some of my favorite classical stuffI've noticed that some unofficial people (i.e. not the copyright holder) upload stuff like Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat Major, for instance, performed by Rubinstein - and it'll get a million or more views, and never gets erasedis there any reason this would not be erased, but other stuff would? I'm not seeing any clear rules other than don't upload stuff that you don't ownshould I just upload videos and not label them?

most of chopin's work is no longer copyrighted, or else the holder doesn't have an agreement with youtube

it only gets erased or muted if the copyright holder tells youtube to do so.otherwise it stays there.
