actually trey solo has been around since 98, the lineup he's touring with right now is the original lineup he used banck in 98/99 with a couple of horns added on

in a sense youre right, there is a band called "Trey Anastasio Band" that he formed in 2006

however this is not that band

basically his main solo projects have been technically named:

Trey Anastasio 1998-2004
70 Volt Parade 2005
Trey Anastasio Band 2006-2007


this latest incarnation is using the lineup from the "Trey Anastasio" years

thinking about seeing them at Terminal 5. I like the original lineup w/ horns. the show at Thomas Wolfe in Asheville in '99 or '00 was sick. they marched in with the UNCA marching band playing When the Saints Go Marching In, Gordon sat in for a few tunes, then they encored with Yellow Submarine with marching band and marched through the crowd and out the side door with everyone following them while the drummers rocked out. yeah, yeah i know... sweet blag.

show of life is a beautiful poignant, poetic, triumphant song..cant wait to see it worked into the phish repertoire to either be a second set balad ala prince caspian or a first song encore like tonight

black dog was a very fitting cover, very soulful with the female lead vocals (although it did suffer a little form over-singing)

the trombonist is HOT, but shes 19, but shes HOT...how awesome would it be to be 19 years old and playing in a band like that

^ yea thats not bad. i was just out that way Sunday at the white water center. it was the first time i had ever been out there. it was nice. the mega zip line was closed and that was a bummer. but i got to go out and walk around the rafting area. its a really cool place.
