I saw this one it's a "romantic" story of how a woman leads a guy on for her own amusement for so long that he wastes literally his entire life trying to get her.

I am not ashamed to say that I really like this movie. It also put a tear or two in my eyes.
1/18/2010 6:08:35 PM
This is the movie where she has a short love affair with Gosling, he goes off to war, she moves on, falls in love with another guy and gets engaged. Then she randomly runs into Gosling and tells the the other guy that he can fuck off because she's back in love with this guy that railed her several years prior. Now girls think they're justified pulling that shit when in reality it's a real skank thing to do.

I always think that sucks in romance movies, there's usually another guy who gets totally fucked over, maybe even destroyed, just so the woman can have her drama. The movie often tries to justify this by having him be rude or belittling, possibly hitting her, but often he's just dull or something, maybe because he has a real job.
1/18/2010 6:33:09 PM
I think I'd rather put my hand in the toaster for a few minutes.
1/18/2010 6:40:41 PM
^^ What was wrong with the guy who got dumped on in the Notebook? Are we just left to assume that Gosling has a fatter cock?
1/18/2010 8:23:31 PM
i, too, am not ashamed to admit i loved this movieand nothing was wrong with dude B, in reality that was a pretty cunt move on her part. the only reason the audience doesnt turn on her is because we knew dude A longer and better[Edited on January 18, 2010 at 8:49 PM. Reason : .]
1/18/2010 8:49:16 PM
She wasn't the only one..."Dude A" (Noah) was dating someone when she comes backthe point of their story is they never fell out of love with each other...But yes...Dude B got screwed, as well as Broad B. Can't point fingers all in the direction of the lady
1/18/2010 8:58:15 PM
sure we can
1/18/2010 9:06:05 PM
You think that Dude B wasn't chomping her beav enough?
1/18/2010 9:06:14 PM
ya, but broad b was just some side tang, that was painfully obviousdude b was legit and she was in love with him, maybe not as much as dude a, but you could tell they were in lovethey should redo the story where dude b goes to the wedding with a shotgun and blasts noah [Edited on January 18, 2010 at 9:14 PM. Reason : .]
1/18/2010 9:13:55 PM
Just once I'd like to see Dude B react realistically instead of the same "I'll always love you and I want you to do whatever makes you happy."Something along the lines of "Holy shit. You are such a fucking bitch. You're nothing but a cock hungry whore. I'm going to fuck all of your friends, even the fat ones. Give me back my fucking house key and get out."
1/18/2010 9:19:53 PM
^EXACTLYthats kind of where i was going with the shotgun thing, but i guess thats not very realistic either
1/18/2010 9:25:12 PM
^,^^ um, thats why this is a classic
1/18/2010 9:26:13 PM
i NEED to watch that movieive started it but never finished itone day
1/18/2010 9:30:21 PM
I'd like to see a whole film that follows the guy who gets fucked over in love stories. I want women to see the bad relationships and heartache that he went through before he was able to find a degree of happiness with Rachel McAdams. Then I want to them to see the broken shell of a man after she leaves him for a guy that she had a fling with years before and to understand why he does nothing but drink and chase tail for years after. Even though he might find some degree of happiness later after years of slaying bitches, lets face it, the hope will be gone from his eye and he'll never fully trust a woman again.Even though he might have just been a brief blip on her radar, she fucked up his world for life in some form or another.
1/18/2010 9:34:58 PM
Side tang, whatever...he still strung her along. Doesn't make it right.
1/18/2010 9:42:27 PM
but he didnt lie to her, he didnt tell her he loved her or that he was going to marry her. she knew what it was, she clearly knew it as soon as girl a showed up. she had obviously heard of her so noah had obviously talked about her before. if she fell into that game hoping to "change" him or that eventually he would "come around", well thats her fault.it may be your opinion that he shouldnt have been banging her out if he didnt care about her, but i dont think he actually led her on (this is just coming form the movie, i havent read the book)
1/18/2010 9:48:04 PM
False hope still becomes a victimbut yes...the book shows more of both sides than just a pining former lover building a house and a broken engagement. Broad b was just as much ditched as dude b.and Noah doesn't die
1/18/2010 9:57:27 PM
The book made a lot more sense because they made it clear that Noah was a vampire and Dude B was a werewolf. I don't know why they left that out in the movie.

^^you're truly missing out then as The Notebook is his best one.
1/21/2010 11:06:19 AM
Lol...dang...well I guess next time I get the opportunity to watch it I will.I've seen parts of it while it was on tv, but then a commercial would come on and I'd lose interest and change the channelI should probably read the book though before I see the movie....they always change things up.
1/21/2010 11:13:44 AM
the Notebook is the best movie they've made [so far] from his books.however, i think Message In A Bottle is my favorite of all his books. it's the only one i read cover to cover in one sitting. and i cried for the last 40 pages and YES, read the book first.]
1/21/2010 11:14:14 AM
